Description

The purpose of this role is to assist the Priesthood and Family Department in helping God’s children joyfully live the gospel of Jesus Christ. As an entry-level position within the project manager job family, Project Coordinators collaborate with division colleagues to carry out specific deliverables that are part of larger projects or initiatives. They work with defined teams to produce simple or templated deliverables. This particular Project Coordinator will work in the Member Insights Division of the Priesthood and Family Department, which collaborates with various Church departments to synthesize information into actionable insights. Project coordination will involve tasks such as organizing information for executive presentations, preparing reports for senior Church leaders, and supporting the Director in assignments from the Managing Director.



Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning and execution of defined deliverables that are part of larger projects or initiatives. 
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders.
  • Working with project team members to develop project schedule and cost estimates.
  • Completing required documentation.
  • Using project management software to monitor and control the execution of projects.
  • Addressing any issues that arise during execution.
  • Communicating status to project sponsors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuring that project commitments are met (on-time and on-budget delivery).
  • Support administrative needs of management, including financial queries, project performance reports, documentation maintenance, and other duties as assigned.

Not-Responsible for acting as primary contact for customer relationship or managing large/complex projects.



Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business Administration, Digital Media, Analytics, or related field.
  • 2 years of professional experience, preferably in project-based environments.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to solve problems with limited oversight.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to work well with, communicate to, and motivate others.
  • Proficient in business tools like Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Tableau, Workfront, etc.
  • Excellent Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective at prioritizing and simultaneously managing dozens of active assignments.
  • To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.Â
