The purpose of this role is to manage and accelerate our New Product Development (NPD) process. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to meet deadlines, document milestones, and update leadership on progress. Completing actions to move projects forward will be just as critical as managing the various project members. The direct result of this role is an increase in new product launches, a decreased project lifecycle, and increased revenue from new products.


1.Β  Assist the new product team in managing stage-controlled new product launch phases, ensuring alignment across product development stages.

2. Track the progress of various projects, including those involving cross-functional teams and external departments.

3. Compile and organize updates from different teams into detailed progress reports.

4. Identify and address project delays, ensuring that timelines are met for both internal and external teams.

5. Support project planning by monitoring project timelines and assisting with adjustments as necessary to ensure on-time completion.

6. Oversee and track procurement requests, ensuring timely availability of materials and resources needed for projects.

7. Maintain detailed procurement and expense records, providing reports to the finance team as required.

8. Prepare budget, cost, and timeline reports for projects to keep stakeholders informed and ensure resource efficiency.

9.Leverage project management tools to track and streamline project progress, ensuring efficient workflows across teams.

11.Foster clear communication among cross-functional and external teams to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years in project management

  • Strong knowledge of Asana

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or similar desired

  • Food or Import/Export preferred, open to other industries based on fit

  • Adaptability to changing circumstances and the ability to handle unexpected challenges

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple detailed tasks and ensure smooth operation

  • Strong project planning and management skills to create detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.

  • Ability to work with different departments such as quality assurance operations, product experts, marketing, sales, and manufacturing to ensure seamless collaboration with global stakeholders

  • This is an in-office position, located in Ridgefield, New Jersey
