FP Analytics, the independent research division of Foreign Policy, seeks a Senior Policy Analyst and Project Coordinator to support our innovative and timely publications and simulations. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Research, the Senior Policy and Project Coordinator will work closely with the entire FP Analytics team as well as in collaboration with other teams, as relevant, within The FP Group. The selected individual will be a quick learner who is communicative, collaborative, organized, detail-oriented, curious, efficient, and capable of multitasking.

Core responsibilities:

  • Conduct desktop and primary research and analysis as needed across a range of international policy issues and sectors, including global health, international finance and development, climate, emerging technology, and geopolitical risk
  • Monitor and analyze legislation, regulations, market dynamics, and geopolitical risks pertaining to a range of industries and geographic regions.
  • Analyze global and regional trends in political economy and international security.
  • Collect, analyze, and visualize quantitative and qualitative data from a range of sources.
  • Prepare and review client presentations, policy briefs, and in-depth reports in collaboration with other FPA team members.
  • Track progress and coordinate across teams to ensure the timely completion of FPA projects.
  • Maintain the FPA website and track traffic/engagement.
  • Draft promotional copy for social media posts, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and support scheduling/marketing/amplification of research products, aligning and collaborating with colleagues across The FP Group
  • Coordinate with copy editor and resolve copyedits before publication of research.
  • Leverage AI tools to prepare bibliographies for publications
  • Closely review research products in final layout for quality control

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor�s degree required (Master�s degree strongly preferred) in international relations, political science, economics, history, or other related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant, full-time work experience
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask are essential
  • Rigorous research and strong writing skills are required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams
  • Familiarity with marketing and social media is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), familiarity with WordPress and/or other content management systems/web development software preferred
  • Must have U.S. work authorization

The salary range for this role is: $70,000-80,000

Working at Foreign Policy

We are located in Washington, D.C., and for this role, we have a preference for candidates in the D.C. area. D.C.-based staff are currently working from the office at least one day a month, with all U.S.-based staff convening in D.C. three times a year. FP staff members are encouraged to take advantage of our �One Month From Anywhere� program to work from the location of their choice for one month each year.
