ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regularly following all policies and procedures, including handbooks, rules and regulations etc. that are implemented by the Menominee Casino Resort, Slot Department and Gaming Commission.
  • Regularly practice the (5) five basic service standards established by the Menominee Casino Resort.
  • Assists with coordination of slot machine installations, conversions, delivery and moves with Slot Manager, Technician Supervisor, vendor and other appropriate personnel.
  • Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company’s internal controls, policies and procedures and to ensure the Slot Department is in compliance with such regulations.
  • Ensure proper notice and information is completed and given to the Gaming Commission and State of Wisconsin for new installations, upgrades, conversions, removals and other slot projects performed by the Slot Department.
  • Completely enter all machine information in the Bally Slot Data System, including new machine numbers, addresses, percentage changes and denomination changes.
  • Maintains records of reel percentage sheets as required by the Gaming Commission and the Company’s Finance Department.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Casino’s slot communication system.
  • Keep all slot/video machine data current, including machine files.
  • Knowledge of required labels and keeping all labels current on slot/video machines.
  • Maintain the strictest of confidentiality with regards to slot information, investigations, personnel files and any other information that may be deemed confidential.
  • Ability to work independently and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record with occasional weekends, evenings or holidays required.
  • Attendance at monthly staff meetings in addition to in-house workshops, outside seminars or other educational programs relating to the position is required.
  • Operate all office equipment including, computer, fax, copier and telephone.
  • Assist and/or processes weekly payroll for Slot Managers approval.
  • Maintains daily “Tip” record of employees for payroll.
  • Retrieves from Slot Supervisors and maintains daily paperwork.
  • Regularly code and process billings within the established time frame of the company.
  • Assists Slot Manager with monthly and annual budget when necessary.
  • Schedules meetings and various training as needed.
  • Provides general Slot information to management and Employees alike, routes incoming mail, and performs all clerical aspects of the job, including opening purchase orders, maintaining a vendor ledger and ordering supplies for the department.
  • Maintains an accurate record of each employee's vacation and personal time balances.
  • Assists Slot Manager and Slot Technician Supervisor by keeping the slot employees knowledgeable of all pertinent company and department information.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Candidate must have a High School Diploma or its equivalency. A minimum of two (2) years of previous slot data work experience required. At least one (1) year education/experience in an office related field required. At least six (6) months experience working on a computer, including working knowledge of computer software preferred. The candidate must be familiar with all facets of slot/video machine functions. 

 

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Superior computer skills required, proficient in appropriate software. Strong organizational and communication skills required. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Must not have been convicted of a felony. Must not have been convicted of shoplifting or stealing within the last five years. Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license. Applicant must possess a valid picture ID and Social Security Card.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of Guests or Employees of the organization. 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. 

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

No person shall be eligible for employment at Menominee Casino Resort/Thunderbird complex if they have been convicted, or have an unresolved charge of:

  • Any crime which would require compliance with the reporting requirements for sex offenders pursuant to Menominee or Wisconsin law; or
  • A felony conviction of any kind in the immediately preceding two years
  • A crime of any kind related to gambling in the immediately preceding two years
  • A crime of any kind related to theft, fraud, or misrepresentation in the immediately preceding two years;
  • A crime of any kind related to a crime of violence, or involving domestic violence, or a drug offense involving sale of drugs, or possession with intent to sell drugs during the immediately preceding two years.
  • “In addition to the minimum criminal background requirements listed above, employee must meet the minimum criminal background requirements necessary to obtain a gaming license as stated in Menominee Tribal Code Chapter 347 and the Tribal Gaming Compact.”
  • Hiring in Gaming Position is contingent upon criminal background check.
