Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plan and execute maintenance and facility projects as assigned.
  • Make sure all projects are carried out to meet all state, local and Teijin Automotive Technologies code and safety requirements.
  • Plant maintenance to install, maintain and repair complex electronic, hydraulic and mechanical systems such large molding press, robots, assembly fixtures, drill fixtures, paint/finish equipment, conveyors and general plant facility type of equipment.
  • Installs electronic-automation type equipment and control systems.
  • Trouble shoots repairs and maintains electronic controls, hydraulic system, pneumatic systems, controls and mechanical equipment.
  • Makes operating decisions in meeting the department’s objectives.
  • Conducts P.M. programs.
  • Participates in training programs.

Qualifications: 

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.  Ability to utilize hand-held tools/machinery/instruments, both manual and powered, both precision and non-precision. 
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, painting, greasing, oiling, grinding, drilling, disassemble and reassemble simple machine parts.
  • Ability to weld and cut with gas torches, troubleshoot machine controls, use standard machine tools such as lathes, saws, mills, and drill presses. 
  • Ability to follow maintenance procedures and maintain proper documentation, drawings and files. Knowledgeable in hydraulic and pneumatic controls, materials and components. As well as all applicable state and local electrical code requirements.
  •  Ability to operate, set, and regulate/adjust machinery.  Ability to trouble shoot machine controls, disassemble and assemble machine parts.  Ability to install conduit, pipe, regulators, and hoses

Education:

High school diploma or GED preferred, one to three years of related formal training, and/or one to three years of related work experience required. Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent form of two-years of college or technical school desired
