A general contractor, located in Escondido, CA is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team. This position will work closely with Clients, Project Managers, Superintendents, Architects and other design team members. Our ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 1–2-year minimum relevant construction experience, be well organized and detail oriented.  *Please note this is not a remote position.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the project management team in the coordination and management of a project’s processes, including GC Preliminary Notices, Insurance, Builders Risk and Payment & Performance bonds.
  • Prepare permit pull packages when projects are assigned.
  • Prequalifying subcontractors for compliance with company policies.
  • Maintaining project tracking logs including submittal and material tracking logs.
  • Handling all material tracking for both owner and GC supplied items on TSGC and client software.
  • Document Control – must be able to handle construction files, drawing sets, specs and RFI’s in an organized and easy to access manner.
  • Must be able to maintain continuous communication and coordination with Project Managers, Superintendents and Construction Teams, including participation in meetings and providing required reports as necessary.
  • Assist with all project logistics as directed.
  • Provide support to upper management where needed.
  • Ensure Client’s needs are met in a timely, cost effective, customer service-oriented manner.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is preferred but will also consider applicant’s practical construction industry experience in coordination, administrative, and construction processes.
  • 1-2 years construction administrative support experience required.
  • CAPM, PMP, and Environmental Certification is a plus
  • Ability to clearly define goals from key stakeholders, break-down goals into manageable tasks, and clarify details as needed to avoid misunderstandings.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and stakeholder communications.
  • Effective time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and basic office programs-Sage & Timberline is a plus.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, terminology, and industry regulations.

  • Spanish speaking a plus.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment. This is not a remote position.
