Job Title: Project Coordinator – Professional Services (PacifiCorp)

Mountain Engineering is seeking a self-motivated Project Coordinator to join our Professional Services Project Management Team, supporting our ongoing contract with PacifiCorp’s Vegetation Management Program. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. A positive and adaptable attitude is essential, as program and project demands frequently shift and require responsive, solutions-focused support.

 

Job Summary

The Project Coordinator supports the Project Manager in overseeing field operations to ensure successful execution of project scopes, compliance with contract requirements, and efficient resource coordination. This role involves regular client communication, tracking project milestones, generating reports, managing personnel, coaching team members, and coordinating asset logistics. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the position requires consistent interaction with both clients and internal teams. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring effective conflict resolution skills and a collaborative mindset to achieve project objectives. Frequent travel throughout the PacifiCorp service area, from Northern California to Northern Oregon, is expected, and overnight stays will be required.

 

Key Responsibilities

Scope of Work Execution

  • Implement and support contract requirements
  • Serve as main point of contact for field operations
  • Delegate responsibilities to field teams
  • Conduct quality control and field assessments

Administrative

  • Generate and review invoices per contract terms
  • Prepare and approve client reports and supporting documentation

Resource Management

  • Review resumes, conduct interviews, and recommend hires
  • Manage timecard approvals and employee performance
  • Deliver coaching and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Prepare and file employee reviews

Asset Management

  • Track project-specific asset needs and usage
  • Recommend purchases and maintain inventory oversight

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years in vegetation management or related field
  • ISA Certified Arborist – Required
  • ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) – Required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work in both office and field environments

 

Compensation

$45.00– $50.00 per hour
(Hourly rate based on qualifications and experience)

 

Work Schedule & Location

  • Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (overtime as needed)
  • Candidate required to reside within the PacifiCorp territory, within a short distance of one of the following cities: Medford, OR; Albany, OR; Portland, OR

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Office and field-based work, including walking on uneven ground and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and confined spaces during field visits
