Overview

Knowledge Services is seeking a Project Coordinator - Parks Maintenance for a 1-year contract (potential for extension) with the City of Indianapolis Department of Parks and Recreation.  

  • Pay rate is $27.40/hr
  • Work schedule in Mon - Fri from 7:00-3:30pm
  • Work will be conducted onsite with about 20% in office and 80% in the field at various city locations
  • Free Parking is provided!

Responsibilities

Project Coordinator - Parks Maintenance Responsibilities:

• Position is responsible for working closely with management by working onsite and in office.

• This role will be primarily assisting management staff at various park locations by providing feedback to management by looking at problems and relaying what will be needed so that other employees will be able to perform the work needed on each project.

• Assist facility maintenance supervision in the oversight of completion of repair tasks performed by the Utility Maintenance Technician staff.
• Assist with preparation of RFQ’s/RFP’s for the facility maintenance operation.
• Assist in the development of and implementation of management reports.
• Assist management staff in planning appropriate method of repair for maintenance matters, projects, and assignments.
• Maintains appropriate records and documentation.
• Develops and sustains a high level of professionalism among staff, stakeholders, and residents.

Qualifications

Project Coordinator - Parks Maintenance Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive to various park settings
• Must have at least 5 years of related work experience or a supervisory role with progressive responsibilities in commercial building maintenance to include but not limited to plumbing, electrical and carpentry
•  Ability to analyze data, coordinate 1-5 projects at a time, and meet deadlines is a must


Preferred:
• Proficient with utilizing Outlook Email
• Experience answering phone calls, professional emails.
• Commercial experience preferred, but will consider residential

• Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in outlook email.
