JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Quality and Project Coordinator is a registered nurse with  an in depth knowledge and background of nursing theory, expert skills in nursing practice, stellar communication abilities, in-depth understanding, and autonomy to incorporate management principles. Provides leadership in the development and management of quality project activities, including innovative practice and research projects, with adherence to timelines and responsible for ensuring that projections and goals are met. The Clinical Quality and  Project Coordinator is responsible for identification and coordination of quality data; utilization and analysis of aggregated data to form plans for quality improvement in patient care outcomes; and for monitoring and analyzing data for trending.  Performs data collection/aggregation/utilization of the various data systems; and the subsequent management, evaluation, and dissemination of information. Working knowledge of the CQI systems/processes and accreditation requirements. Works with all front line staff in a multidisciplinary capacity in collecting and utilizing clinical data to create, enact, and evaluate plans for quality improvement. Active participant on the Quality Team. Participates in the formation and analysis of data reports for internal and external reporting. Supports the strategic leadership activities and vision of the organization and quality department in terms of performance improvement standards. Upholds organizational values and principles by creating and maintaining effective positive customer service relationships that ensure stakeholder needs are met and exceeded.

In addition, the Clinical Quality Coordinator will support and work alongside the Accreditation Coordinator collecting clinical and non-clinical data in order to assure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements and providing education to departments around compliance initiatives. Participates in the formation and Implements educational presentations to facilitate continuous survey readiness and compliance with regulatory standards.  Maintains knowledge of standards and regulations.  Participates in professional activities to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.

Supports the strategic leadership activities and vision of the organization and quality department in terms of performance improvement standards. Upholds organizational values and principles by creating and maintaining effective positive customer service relationships that ensure stakeholder needs are met and exceeded.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Required Associate Degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred, hospital administration, or related management field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.  Experience in data collection/utilization preferred.

Licensure:  Current Georgia RN License

Experience:  Minimum of two years of clinical  experience required. Certification and/or participation in professional organizations recommended.

Experience and knowledge base of  computer systems, applications, and operations including but not limited to those involving Quality Department.

  • Intervenes as necessary with all healthcare professionals to assure quality and cost-effective care.

  • Ability to develop and maintain quality relationships with medical staff and work as partners to facilitate organizational and community relationships. 

  • Performs duties without direct supervision by conducting self in a professional, autonomous manner.  

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PPT) and data bases used by Hamilton for clinical data collection and reporting. 

  • Troubleshooting skills in the formulation of data reporting and interpretation of accreditation guidelines and standards.
